Ride-share schemes promise to boost local economies and reshape transportation by bringing mobility to new user groups and new locations. The New Automobility Study by Schaller Consulting found that Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) like Lyft and Uber have more than doubled the overall size of US for-hire services since 2012. The study also projects that for-hire ride services will surpass local bus ridership in the country by the end of this year….
