Research conducted by its Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office has put together a succinct picture of tomorrow’s commute: it illustrates where real-time data harmonises vehicle speeds to keep build-ups to a minimum, where drivers receive advanced warning of collisions and poor road conditions, and where alternative routes to destinations can be suggested mid-journey….
