The road to electrification remains full of obstacles, from range anxiety to issues surrounding infrastructure. Electric vehicles (EVs) have struggled to gain the consumer acceptance OEMs might like. One of the biggest selling points for EVs over those with internal combustion engines (ICE) is their environmental benefit. But new developments in ICEs could change this, and further hinder the viable commercialisation of EVs.
